Just got so busy today! Why? Finally, I’m finished importing files from my 3 remaining sub domains on the other blogging platform. My friend reminded me about it since she’s having a problem with her sub domain. So, I remember that maybe the rejected domain that I have with separate web hosting can somehow save her files.
What I did? I tried to save/export files from my rejected domain so that I will be having something to import again. Then, I deleted everything. When it has zero post, it’s then I imported my files from one of my sub domains and I’m so happy that it’s importing in less than a minute. I said to my friend that I will try to import some of her sub domain files to her domain in which I’m the host but it will be after I will be finished with importing files my 3 sub domains. But there is one condition – just 2MB since that’s the requirements of WP’s file import. This means, giving up some files and it will be hundreds of files since she’s having more than 800 articles.
Anyway, when I’m done with my sub domains, it’s then I imported files from her sub domain. I said to her that I will only save 600 files without the comments. And guess how many comments she has on her blog? 1,800+! Oh my golly! So, no choice, I have to delete it by 20’s. After that, I tried to export some files and imported it to her domain. But for several times, I experience fatal errors. When I checked on the categories, gosh there are around 70 pages. So I presumed it’s the cause of the fatal error. At first, I tried to delete it by myself. But then I remember that I need to delete files again from my rejected savior domain so that I can import her files again. So, I just ask her to delete it for me (on her domain).
Anyhow (inihaw
), after erasing everything from my savior domain, it’s then, I import some files again from her blog. But I will have to delete those 1,800+ comments and more than a hundred of her files (again since i imported new things) so as for me to come up with a 2MB XML Document or less which is the requirement for WP’s file import.
After everything is done, my files from my 3 sub domains are safe together with the sub domain files of my friend. And this will be my (and hers) new blogging beginning with my sites under my self-hosted domains.
