About Energy Start and Exit Signs

Wherever I’ll go, my baby is with me. Though, more often than not, we will just go out when there are some important appointments (doctor’s appointments) or important things to buy. And my first concern when visiting in an office or entering in any establishments is the Exit Sign. This is to make sure that when there are some emergency, I can safely bring my baby outside passing the right way. Well, I guess you know what I mean! Baby’s safety first before anything else!

And talking about Exit Signs, to tell you, I didn’t really understand the features and the specifications of EXIT SIGNS. All I thought is that any businesses can just bought this anywhere else and then install it in their offices. When I visited the website of Energy Star at EnergyStar.gov, its then, I realized that there are particular specifications and features. And, any EXIT SIGNS should be an energy efficient one which will hold less or until 5 watts (per sign). According to their informative site, it should be ‘illuminated internally’ plus other features that meets the requirements of US EPA. Also, there should be a proper checking and replacement of parts every 5 years. Or perhaps, it’s always nice to check it frequently. This is to make sure that all of the Exit Signs will serve its purpose most especially when there are some emergency cases. Also, exit signs should be labeled that it’s made ‘in accordance to UL 924’.

So, now I know how important Exit signs are and how it is being made. Well, it’s so nice to REALLY read informative websites that would help broaden the mind other than the usual interest about computers, software and other programs!
