Only believe Words that which EMPOWERS YOU

“Don’t believe a prediction that does not EMPOWER YOU. Only believe that which EMPOWERS YOU.” – Sean Stephenson

I learned from this quote just recently. There were lots of words, events, and negativity which bothers me for years. Right after encountering these quote from Sean Stephenson, those negativity vanished one by one. And I am thankful that I am now living this quote. This helps me forgive those rude and negative people in my life (past and present). Mostly, this helps me forgive myself for believing those negative words I heard from childhood until in my present life.

I do believe I am a child of God and I must believe his words not the words of negative people. Each day is a new life and a renewal day for me, and so I am doing my best to stay positive with constant prayers. I know God has the best plans for me to be a blessing to those people around me.

Never respond to rudeness coz karma will take good care of itself

“Never respond to rudeness. When people are rude to you, they reveal who they are, not who you are. Don’t take it personally.”

And this is true. It took me years to use this quote in my real life. It took me years to learn from it. When I was younger, I usually fought back to those rude people who harassed my parents and my family. I proved to them that I can fight back their rudeness and I was wrong. My father used to share with me that whatever the person is doing it won’t bother him because God is watching and God will do the right thing for those bad people. What he meant was that God’s karma will take care of those bad people and so it’s the reason why my father kept his silence or walk away most of the time. Whatever bad rumors or bad words that my father heard, he will just let it pass on his other ear.

And now that I am half my life’s age, I realized and learned to keep my silence every time I will hear rudeness. I am also teaching my kids about this so that they will learn from it as they grow old. Maybe it will help them live a better life.

Fun Halloween Time for the kiddos this year

My kids and I were looking for Halloween costumes yesterday in the mall, but since it’s the day of the event, we couldn’t find anything. So, while we were walking inside the mall, I saw a barber shop, and so I let my son had his hair cut since he had a long hair. After the haircut, as we continue roaming around we found one store that has girl’s stuff, and so we got inside the store as there were few capes and other things for Halloween. I bought a costume for the girl and a knitted hat for the boy together with fidget spinners since that store was offering buy 3 take 3 for free.

But they didn’t have a basket, and I didn’t have any idea that they can use a pillowcase since it’s their 2nd-time trick or treats so we visited Walmart. We did find lots of Halloween costumes, so I bought another – a shopkins costume and a Pikachu. Then we went home to change clothes, and we joined our friends’ trick or treat in their neighborhood.

Since it was cold and I didn’t want to walk, I told my friend that we will ride the car while roaming around their neighborhood. It did help our trick or treaters a lot since they were not feeling cold and at the same time, they were not walking too much. Their buckets were full of just a few houses that they chose to ding the doorbells.

Before we headed home, we dropped by at the house of my friend and sorted the candies. I left the one with peanut ingredients coz it’s not good for my kiddos. I drove home after that with my kids so happy with their 2nd trick or treats.

Next year, we will join again, and we will not roam around walking, but we will roam around riding our car. It’s fun.

Video Editing

I want to upload my videos on youtube, and so I am into video editing for two days already. I just bought new video editing software, but it’s a bit complicated compared to the first one that I got. Although, I can use the audio that I bought on the first one and I am happy with it. It is fun to edit some videos even if it takes most of my time. Here is one of the videos that I just finished.

Just think positive anyways

When you can only talk to God about your problems and wait for his blessings for you to have your own finances in sharing to your family who has health concerns back home, you will feel like you are carrying the whole world on your shoulder.

Well, you cannot do anything with it. You have to wait for God’s provision. For others, it’s easy for them to send back home, but for you, you have to work day and night for you to earn. And you are going to believe that there are lots of blessings coming your way so that you can solve your own finances and at the same time share it with your families while homeschooling and taking care of your own family. It’s heartbreaking when you are feeling negative.

So, just think positive and know that God is working for you and that there will be lots of blessings every day. Oh dear! THINK POSITIVE ANYWAYS and pray that your father and mother are okay!

Proverbs 4:23 – be careful of how you think

Be careful of how you think;
your life is shaped by
your thoughts.
-Proverbs 4:23

God Loves you forever

Always remember God believes in U
and God gives You the best things every day!
Be positive! Have faith!
Believe!
God Loves U forever!

Mother daughter bonding time – time well spent

Just bonding few minutes with my kid yesterday through coloring these cute cartoon characters – Kirby yard, shopkins, club penguin puffles. It’s fun to spend time with kiddos, AND I wish not to work so I can take care of them. Time spent with them is never a waste of time because it’s time WELL SPENT.

First field trip of the year 201-2017 (Homeschooling)

Today, my kids had so much fun with the homeschooling kick-off field trip. I am thankful that it was held in Colorado Springs, Colorado as I did not need to drive away from the city. The kids were having fun playing with their classmates and teachers. The parents were having fun with getting to know each other together with the principal’s questions. It was a different start of the year field trip as there was an interaction between parents and principal as well as students and teachers.

I am hoping to have the best homeschooling this year 2017-2018!

What to Do With Your Old Musical Instruments

A large number of kids join band at a young age, but not all of those kids stick with music through high school and college. Playing music can help them develop strong skills that will assist them in the future and teach them how to work in a group setting too. As the parent of a former band member, you might have a few musical instruments laying around your house that take up valuable space. There are a few things you can do with those instruments to make money for yourself or to help others.

Sell Online

Many parents rent cheap instruments for their kids to play until they find out if their kids will stick with band. Other parents invest in cheaper instruments and later upgrade to better models. If you have an old saxophone or any other instrument that shows a lot of wear and tear and isn’t very valuable, you’re better off donating it than trying to sell it. Instruments that are in good condition are valuable to others. You can sell that instrument online or to a new player in your community.

Check Local Schools

Even if the instruments your kids played are a little banged up or not in the best condition, you can still contact local schools and ask about donating those instruments. Many schools have less funds than needed to run arts programs like band. While the school may have enough money to fund the program, it may not have enough cash to cover the cost of the instruments that students need. Donating an instrument that you or your child once played in the past lets someone else with a love of music get the chance to play.

Donate to Charity

You can also try donating that old instrument to a charity that supports musical programs and other causes like the Sing for Hope organization. These organizations offer assistance to younger students and older students who love singing and playing music. They provide students with funding to attend prestigious programs and give them the instruments that they need in those programs. Many of these organizations work in areas where there is not a lot of financial help available such as urban cities that cut all arts programs or rural regions that do not have a large number of talented students.

As much as you loved watching your children play in bad recitals, you probably don’t like seeing their old instruments take up space in your home. If your child no longer plays, you can feel comfortable selling that instrument online. You can feel better about yourself when you choose to donate that instrument to a student or organization in need too.
